Under this category, you will find a complete range of semi-professional and professional feather pluckers. We have selected only high-performance products with excellent durability. Spare parts are available.
Method for Plucking Poultry or Game Birds: For wet pluckers, after scalding, place the back of the bird or quail first, then proceed to pluck against the grain of the feathers. Turn the bird a quarter turn for one wing and a half turn for the other. Then pluck the breast, lower back, legs, and rump. And that’s it—your bird or quail is plucked. Finish the tips of the wings by hand.
The time required to pluck a poultry bird is around 45 seconds, and about 30 seconds for a quail.
Our recommendation: Use model 1853A for plucking smaller birds like quails, pigeons, partridges, etc., and use model 11A for larger birds such as chickens, ducks, guinea fowl, etc.
The pluckers we sell are of the highest quality, European-made. Spare parts will be available for many years. If you need replacement plucking fingers, we also sell those.
- For more information, refer to our “Breeding Guide” section.
For dry plucking, the procedure is the same but without the scalding step.
